A wild bee (presumably) gathering nectar from a wild blue/purple flower (possibly some kind of penstemon). Declines of domesticated bees due to CCD (colony collapse disorder) and other factors makes it necessary to support native pollinators whenever possible by leaving wild flowers and creating pollinator friendly gardens in order to ensure that our food crops are pollinated.
