Importing water from the West Side of the Sierra Nevada to Central and Southern California, the CA Aqueduct is a testimony to human's redistribution of natural resources. Without the CA Aqueduct, and its predecessor, the LA Aqueduct, Southern California would never have grown us much or be able to sustain the current population. That being said, water is in short supply. Despite the human ingenuity behind these water works, the west is facing prolonged drought which will only further stress water resources. « less
