An educational display at Hoover Dam's information center entitled "From Hoover to Home" shows the process of hydroelectric power distribution. The dam's hydroelectric power station generates, on average, about 4 billion kilowatt-hours of power a year and is distributed to Nevada, Arizona, and California. It meets the energy needs of approximately 1.3 million people.
